| Description | CCR Case Study 5: Sri Lanka and India Resilience Policy - National policy to Local action As part of this case study, researchers from the Asian Institute of Technology(AIT) investigated how national disaster management policies support localinstitutions in providing preparedness and post-disaster services; the qualityof those services; and local offi cials’ and CBOs’ understanding of disastermanagement policies. Finally, the gaps between national policies and localresponse were identifi ed and shared with project partners. The project wasimplemented in Nagapattinam, India, and Hambantota, Sri Lanka. |
